MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I have had a great time this year as your coach.  I hope you've enjoyed playing soccer this year.  I'm excited for the upcoming Indoor in February and look forward to seeing most of you then.  But for now ... have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!  See you in 2011 :)

Indoor Soccer ... are you going to play?

It's time to plan for Indoor Soccer.  I've looked into all the options that are available at the different locations around the valley.  Based on a combination of cost, schedule, and day of play for our age group, I've selected Ultimate Indoor in Woods Cross.  Here are the details.

Key info:

• Session starts mid-February and will end the week before outdoor starts (around 1st week of April).  They will adjust their schedule to match the outdoor schedule.
• Season is 8 games, plus a playoff possibly.
• Cost/team = $530 (includes ref fees).  8/team = $66.25 each, 10/team = $53.00 each.
• Depending on how many want to play we could put one or two teams together.  
• To field two teams we would need to recruit a few extra players.
• Location is Ultimate Indoor, 1877 W. 2425 S., Woods Cross, UT, http://www.ultimateindoor.com/

Other info:

• Style of play is indoor soccer, not futsal, so they play off the walls.
• A team consists of 5 field players + 1 goal keeper (plus subs).  We would need a min of 8/team and preferably 10.
• The field is an artificial turf surface, but they do not allow cleats.  
• You have to  wear "flats" (indoor shoes or tennis shoes) or turf shoes.
• Games will be played on Saturdays.  

We need to find out soon how many want to play, because we have to reserve our spot. So please reply to the email I sent or call me ASAP and let me know if you want to play.
